Composition - 1 ml:

Lyophilizate:
  • Virus febris contagiosae canis - min. 10 3.0 TCID50
  • Parvovirus enteritidis canis -min. 10 4.5 TCID50
  • Lyophilization solution
Dilutor - 1 ml:

Aqua pro iniectione

Effect:

The antigen contained in the vaccine - after it is applied into the body of the vaccinated individual - is detected as the foreign body and therefore the great number of the protective mechanisms of the organism are activated (macrophages, opsonins, interleukins, B lymphocytes, etc.) due to which the specific antibodies against the antigenic determinants contained in the vaccine are formed. Said specific antibodies will prevent the subsequent infection onset after infecting.

Indication:

For the active immunization against distemper and parvovirosis in dogs aged 6 weeks and above.

Contraindication:

Total pyrexial disease

Administration:

Subcutaneous or intramuscular. If the preparation is diluted with the liquid vaccine Biocan it shall be applied subcutaneously only.

Dosage:

1 ml irrespective of animal's age, weight and breed.

Vaccination schedule:

The vaccination schedule shall be specified by the veterinarian based on the infectious situation and the level of the passive protection of the vaccinated individuals with the colostral antibodies. The animals that were vaccinated for the first time at the age under 12 weeks should be re-vaccinated at the interval of 14 - 21 days while the last revaccination should be carried out at the age of 13 weeks above. The re-vaccination should be repeated every year in order to keep their permanent immunity.

The vaccine Biocan DP can be applied separately, simultaneously or grouped with other vaccines of Biocan type:
  • A) The vaccine Biocan DP can be applied grouped with other liquid Biocan series vaccines (LR, C, L). The vaccination dose is 1 ml in this case.
  • B) If the vaccines Biocan C + LR or C + L are applied simultaneously, such grouped liquid vaccine (2 ml) can be used as a diluent for the vaccine Biocan DP. The vaccination dose is 2 ml in this case.

Other possible vaccinations:

Biocan M Plus  Microsporum canis vaccine inactivated can be used at the age of 8 weeks and above.

Adverse effects:

If the vaccine is diluted with the liquid vaccine Biocan (LR, C, L) local reaction (like a pea in size) can be formed in the vaccine application spot that will disappear on its own accord within 3 weeks.

Sub-febrile increase of the temperature and temporary disorexia can be rarely observed after application of the vaccine. Hypersensitivity can occur only rarely.
