Target species:
Milking cows in their lactation period.
Indications:
Treatment of both the acute and chronic mastitis in cows during the lactation period caused by the pathogens sensitive to novobiocin, penicillin, dihydrostreptomycin and neomycin.
Dosage for each species:
Shake the content of one applicator well and then apply it (10 ml of the preparation) into the affected quarter. The preparation should be applied into a teat that was milked dry previously.
Method and route of administration:
Intramammary. If necessary, wash both the udder and teats with warm water and dry them. Disinfect the teat ends with suitable disinfectant, remove the plastic cover on the applicator tip and insert the applicator into the teat duct. Press the piston and apply the content of the applicator into the udder. Massage the relevant quarter of the udder to support better penetration of the preparation into the milk cistern.
If necessary, the therapy can be repeated 24 – 48 hours later.
Special precautions for use:
Shake thoroughly before use!
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to penicillin.
Adverse reactions:
Allergic reactions can be observed in allergic individuals, particularly after the repeated application of the preparation (salivation, dyspnoea, dermal oedema on head and perineum).
Withdrawal period:
Meat - 7 days, milk – 72 hours (6 milking).
